The direct rakeback industry
Nowadays it’s all too difficult. While a 50 % rakeback deal (which is the maximum at some networks) was great, it’s not that great anymore and it seems that players get way, way better offers than that. The reason is simple: competition is tougher than a few years ago and some rooms are too desperate. They simply have to offer such deals to create some revenue even though they make no profit with it! Believe it or not: I know some rooms that offer more rakeback than they earn as commissions. Some players get over 100 % rakeback and I’m not talking about prop players that are more like employees to the poker room and thus should get paid for their work. No, I talk about high volume players that play poker professionally. This can’t go any longer and it should be interesting to see when this will be corrected (either from itself or somebody else) |
